MUNCIE- Margie L. Hickey, 85, passed away October 31, 2025 at her home in Muncie.
She was born January 11, 1940, in Kentucky, the daughter of Harvey Brown and R. Francis Marlow.
Margie moved to the Muncie area in the 1960's and began working at various restaurants as a Cook. She eventually moved into home healthcare, where she worked most of her life until she retired.
Margie enjoyed baking and making desserts for many family members who each had their favorite. Her specialty was her carrot cake.
She is survived by her son, William (Kathy) Gerber; a sister, Glenna Burris; several grandchildren; several great grandchildren; a special niece, Laura (John) Hodson; a special great nephew, Jojo; and several other nieces and nephews.
Margie was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Aubrey Hickey; two sons, Junior Gerber and Kenny Gerber; and nine brothers and sisters.
Graveside Services will be held at 2:30 pm on Monday, November 17, 2025 at Tomlinson Cemetery, 5301 S. Old St. Rd. 67, Muncie.
A Memorial Service for Margie will be at 4:00 pm on Monday, November 17, 2025, at Chariots of Fire Ministries, 700 S. Madison Street, Muncie.
