Marjory "Margie" James Loosier, 79, of Courtland passed away Sunday, January 26, 2025, at Decatur Morgan Hospital. Visitation will be from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Thursday, January 30, 2025, at Lawrence Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 1:00 pm at the funeral home with Bro. Scotty Letson and Bro. Scott Delashaw officiating. Burial will be in FM Rouse Cemetery.
Born on December 26, 1945, to the late Julius James and Murrylee Bullard, Margie was a member of New Hope Baptist Church. Margie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend and will be deeply missed.
Survivors include her husband of 62 years, Stanley Loosier; one son, Vernon (Tina) Loosier; two daughters, Shena (Brian) Campbell and Leigh Ann (Joey) Pannell; grandchildren, Dustin (Mika) Loosier, Stanley Pierce (Kim) Loosier, Blake Hokett, Samuel (Shelby Stinson) Loosier, Matthew (Shay) Loosier, William (Sara) Loosier, Gabriel Early, Madison (Payton) Loosier, Walker Bose Pannell, Alexis (Austin Chavez) Terry, and Cheyenne Campbell; seven great-grandchildren; one brother, Roger Bullard; two sisters, Maynell (Maurice) Hicks and Ruthie (Ron) Shuit; and several nieces, nephews and extended family.
Margie was preceded in death by her father, Julius James; parents, George and Murrylee Bullard; daughter, Deborah Thomas; son, Stanley "Peanut" Loosier II; grandson, Vernon Loosier II; and four brothers, Harvey Bullard, Clark Bullard, Samuel Bullard, and Sammie Bullard.
Pallbearers will be Dustin Loosier, Stanley Pierce Loosier, Blake Hokett, Samuel Loosier, Matthew Loosier, William Loosier, Gabriel Early, and Madison Loosier.
Honorary Pallbearer is Walker Bose Pannell.
The family extends special thanks to the nurses and staff at Decatur Morgan Hospital.
