Mrs. Margie Marie Miley Swan

Margie Marie Miley Swan, age 78, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family October 24, 2025 in Angie, LA. Mrs. Margie was born and raised in the "Miley Town" community, where she enjoyed trail riding and taking care of her horses. She was a devoted mother and grandmother, often spending a lot of her time with her family, which gave her the most joy. Mrs. Margie considered it an extra special treat if she could wrangle any of the family into going to the flea markets with her.
She is survived by two children: James Woodward, Jr., and wife: Tara Woodward, and Margie "Marie" Sullivan and fiancé: Michael Elliott; ten grandchildren: James Henry, Crystal Martin (Johnathon), Martha Thomas (Jeremy), Charley Sharpe (Shalon), Alexis Rester (Jeremy), Alissa White (Brian), Austin Jarrell (Malanda), Kaitlynn Jenkins (Mason), Jeremy Fuller, and Jamie Fuller (Kevin); thirty-two great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; one sister: Louis Boone; a brother: Luther Miley; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family, and friends.
Mrs. Margie was preceded in death by two husbands: James Woodward, Sr., and Charles Swan; her parents: Henry and Inez Miley; one grandson: James David Woodward; a great-great-grandchild: Everly Pilkington; and several brothers and sisters.
Brown-McGehee Funeral Home was entrusted with final arrangements. Visitation will start at 10AM Tuesday, October 28, 2025, in the funeral home chapel followed by the funeral service at 2PM. Interment will immediately follow at Henry Miley Cemetery in Angie.
