Margaret "Margie" Roberta Rathbone
August 7, 1967 – April 21, 2025
It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Margaret Margie Rathbone, age 57, who departed this life on April 21, 2025.
Born on August 7, 1967 in Haywood County NC, Margie lived a life full of grace, strength, and compassion. She was known for her kind heart, unwavering support for those around her, and a spirit that lit up every room she entered.
Margie was a devoted mother and grandmother, whose legacy of love and generosity will live on in the lives she touched. Whether through her work, or simply her warm presence and thoughtful words, she made the world a better place every single day. Margie loved to collect frogs and hummingbirds. She loved all types flowers.
Margie is survived by her parents Mal and Virginia Rathbone, her children Morgan Corissa Cowart and Jesse Mal Cowart. Her grandchildren McKenzie and Hunter Humphries. One brother Johnny T. Rathbone (Kim) two sisters Nancy Sue Helsel (Greg) and Ginger Rathbone along with the extended family in Virginia and is preceded in death by her granddaughter Ryelei Ponder and her grandparents.
The family will receive friends to celebrate Margie's life Wednesday April 30th, 2025, from 2:00 until 4:00 at Smoky Mountain Cremations and Funeral Service. All who knew and loved her are welcome to attend.
Her laughter, love, and light will never be forgotten.
