Margo Cook Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beautiful Margo Cecile (Williams) Cook, a loving wife, mother, daughter, cousin, aunt, and friend on May 2, 2025. She was 39 years old.

Margo was born in Frederick, MD, on August 3, 1985, to Camilla Storms and (Tillman) Hank Williams, and parental grandparents Bobby Dean and Beatrice Cecilia Williams who dearly loved her. She was a devoted wife of 16 years to her loving husband and middle school sweetheart, Jordan Cook, and the best mom ever to Elijah (13) and Kylie (10). She also leaves behind her beloved brother Bobby Williams, her loving mother and fathers-in-law, Beth and Mike Jones and Richard and Tammy Cook, as well as her brothers and sisters-in-law Richard and Jessica Cook, Anthony Cook, Michael and Taylor Jones, and Katherine Jones. Margo was the best aunt to her nieces and nephews, loving them as if they were her own. She was predeceased by her maternal grandparents Norman and Marguerite Storms and two aunts and an uncle. Additionally, she will be dearly missed by many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

After graduating from Governor Thomas Johnson High School, Margo attended Hood College, where she earned her Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education. She worked at FCC Early Childhood Development and Little Lights Child Development Center and then made the important decision to work from home to be available for her children. For the past nine years, she worked part-time for Westat and had recently accepted a position at Boonsboro Elementary School.

Margo had a passion for teaching the value of green health to her husband and children. She loved the outdoors, enjoyed hiking, being at the beach, and listening to live music of all genres. She lived life to the fullest and especially loved spending time with her family, friends, and her beloved dog Mae. Her radiant smile could light up any room, and her warmth and kindness touched the lives of everyone she met. She will be deeply missed by all who have known her.

Although Margo is gone, she will live in our hearts forever. We find comfort in knowing that she is now in the loving arms of our Lord and Savior, and her spirit will continue to shine brightly in Heaven.

A Celebration of Life service to honor Margo Cecile Cook will be held on May 17, 2025, at 11:00 AM at First Baptist Church of Frederick, located at 7040 Bowers Road, Frederick, MD 21702.

In lieu of flowers, please consider planting a tree in Margo's name or donating to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital (stjude.org) or K-9 Lifesavers (www.k-9lifesavers.org).

It still doesn´t feel real. I remember the first time I met Margo in the elevator in Dallas - she was so cheery and kind, instantly warm and welcoming. I had no idea then that I´d be lucky enough to spend the next nine years working alongside her.
We shared a work trip to Indianapolis and were on the same team-building team. I still remember the laughter and lightness she brought to everything we did. Over the years, I got to know her love for her family - she adored her children and spoke about them often with so much pride and joy.
Margo was the kind of person who always had a smile on her face. I´m sure she had hard days, but I never heard her complain. She was patient, steady, and the definition of a team player. We loved hearing about her gardening projects, hiking adventures, and her cherished trips to Anna Maria Island - a place that held such meaning for her and her family.
Although it had been a while since we last caught up - different projects and the busyness of life got in the way - I regret not checking in more. That will stay with me forever. I prayed so hard for her to pull through, and it breaks my heart that she was taken far too soon.
I´m heartbroken for her husband, her children, and everyone who loved her. It´s hard to understand why someone so special would be taken so early. She left a lasting mark on all of us, and I´ll never forget her.

Margo is the first born grandchild in our family and my neice. I have always loved her dearly and knew she had a gift with children. My daughter was born disabled and Margo was amazing with her and treated like she was just like any other child. I will miss her sweet smile and spirit. She was an admirable and dearly loved woman, and the world will not be as bright without her.

I have know Margo since she was born. She was my granddaughters best friend from their births. Lived next to each other. I had the occasion to spend time with her at family gatherings, birthday parties and I went to her baby shower for her son. She was absolutely one of the most precious ladies I have ever known and I will never forget her. I am friends with her mother too.

I am so glad I got to meet Margo at One Life several years ago, she was taking my cycle classes and was so kind and thanked me for teaching and loved my playlist :) we began talking more each time I saw her in my class or in group ex classes when I could teach there. She was alway eager to workout and had the most beautiful SMILE! ...so easy to talk too and we had such similar interests. You could tell she was genuine and loved her family. The angels will rejoice but I know it´s the ones here who will be mourning and missing her so, so grateful to have known her even for a short time. God rest her soul.
