Margo McCarthy Obituary

Margo A. McCarthy (nee Cox), a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 8, 2024, at the age of 77. Born on July 2, 1947, Margo faced numerous health challenges thoughtout her adult life with remarkable courage resilience and grace. Despite these struggles, she never let her spirit be dampened and remained a shining example and inspiration to those around her.
She is survived by her two devoted daughters, Ginger (John) Weber and Stephanie (Anthony Quintile) McCarthy, who were her pillars of strength and her greatest joy. Her love and strong willed, independent spirit will forever inspire them. She also leaves behind three cherished grandchildren, Jacob Weber, Allie (Michael) Chubeck and Samantha (Cody) Murri, one great grandchild, Ryland Murri, niece, nephews and her sister-in-law Chin Cox, who all brought immense happiness to her life.
Margo was known for her kind heart, unwavering tenaciousness, and her ability to find joy in the simplest of moments. She had a unique gift of making everyone feel special through her welcoming personality and using laughter to lighten any moment, traits that will be sorely missed by all who knew her.
A special thank you to all that compassionately cared for Margo; the staff at Villa of Greenfield, St. Croix Hospice and countless other caregivers along her journey. A private family memorial service will be held to celebrate Margo's remarkable life. She will be laid to rest at Wisconsin Memorial Park near her parents Orlin and Helen Cox. In lieu of memorials, have her spirit live on in each of us by doing random acts of kindness to others.
