Margo Jean Stasch, born April 28, 1936 in Chicago, passed away on August 7, 2025, surrounded by love from her family. In Chicago, Margo attended Schurz high school, where she met her husband and greatest joy, Ron. Ron and Margo married on October 11, 1958, and shared a long and beautiful life together. There is nothing Margo loved more than her family, and she was known to frequently share stories of their accomplishments. Margo was incredibly proud of her three children, David (Becky) Stasch, Mark Stasch, and Jill (Jon) Gordon, and five grandchildren, Ryan (Julia), Sydney, Natalie, Jordan (Monica), and Katherine.
Margo loved the simple pleasures in life and had a knack for finding the beauty and wonder in everything around her. Margo cherished having fresh flowers in her kitchen and seasonal plants on her porch, using festive paper napkins for every occasion, and collecting beautiful trinkets. As much as she loved these things for herself, she loved sharing them even more. At her core, Margo was a giver, and she was always thinking of others, often giving small gifts to her loved ones. Margo was also a quiet observer, soaking up the excitement around her. Margo had a knack for bonding with everyone around her, even complete strangers, and would remember every detail that she learned, often relaying the life stories of waitresses and store clerks to her family. In recent years, one of her favorite things to do was drive and park by the fountain in downtown Plymouth with Ron, often with soft serve from Dairy King, and watch babies and dogs play in the park. Margo had so much love and appreciation to share, and it extended to everyone that she encountered, all of whom were incredibly lucky to meet her.
In heaven, Margo joins her parents, George and Alma, her brother George, and many friends, who she had dearly missed. Margo Jean will be forever missed, but her loving spirit will live on in her family and loved ones.
In lieu of flowers, those who wish to honor the memory of Margo J. Stasch are invited to consider a contribution to your favorite charity.
Margo’s family will gather for a private memorial ceremony on Saturday, August 16, and Margo will be laid to rest at Riverside Cemetery in Plymouth, Michigan.
