Marguarette Bernadette Kennell, affectionately known as Bonnie, passed away peacefully on January 27, 2026, in Newport News, Virginia, at the age of 81. Born on October 31, 1944, in Baltimore, Maryland, Bonnie lived a life marked by dedication, love, and resilience.

Bonnie devoted 35 years of her professional life as a federal employee at the Department of Defense in Fort Meade, Maryland. Her commitment to her work was matched only by her passion for advocating for the rights of others, a cause she championed with unwavering determination despite the challenges she faced in her own life.

An avid animal lover, Bonnie found joy and companionship in the company of her beloved pets. Her compassion extended beyond animals to all those around her, as she consistently fought for justice and fairness.

In her later years, Bonnie moved from Maryland to Newport News, Virginia, to reconnect with her biological mother and forge new bonds with her siblings. This journey of reconnection was a testament to her enduring spirit and desire for family unity.

In 2021, Bonnie suffered a stroke that left her bedridden, and her health declined rapidly thereafter. Throughout these difficult times, her strength and courage remained an inspiration to all who knew her.

Bonnie is survived by her loving husband, Stanley Kennell; her son, Stan Kennell and his wife, Sheryl Lynn Kennell; her daughter, Christine Kendall; her cherished grandson, Jordan Christopher Kennell and his wife, Ellen; and her great granddaughter, Ariana Joy Kennell. Her family and friends are heartbroken by her passing and hold her memory close, praying for her soul with much love and respect.

Bonnie's legacy of kindness, advocacy, and love will forever remain in the hearts of those she touched. May she rest in peace.
