Marguerite Ford Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Mercer-Adams Funeral Service on Oct. 14, 2025.
Marguerite "Peggy" Mae Brannon Ford was called home to be forever with her Heavenly Father on October 8, 2025. She was born May 22, 1935, in Bradford, Pennsylvania to Robert Lyman Brannon and Edith Mae Wagner.
Peggy married the love of her life, Herbert Warden Ford, on March 27, 1954. They were devoted to each other for 62 happy years. In earlier days, Peggy was a bridal consultant with Hancock Fabrics for 25 years.
Herb and Peggy were faithful members of the Bethany Bible Missionary Church for more than 50 years, where she served as treasurer and head steward. She helped with Sunday School classes and Vacation Bible Schools, remembering with a thankful heart the minister who stopped by the Brannon household one day to invite her to Sunday School as a child. That's where it all started, and at a young age she gave her heart to Jesus. She loved God and spoke often of His faithful, loving care throughout her life. Although she suffered much physical affliction, she never questioned God's wisdom.
Peggy loved her family, lived her faith and prayed around the world from her chair. We will miss hearing her call our names in prayer. She had a genuine love and concern for her family and others. Her deepest desire was that we all meet again in that beautiful land where the roses never fade. Although we miss her presence with us, our hearts take comfort in the thought that she is reunited with loved ones and rejoicing with her Savior - eternally free from pain and suffering!
Peggy was preceded in death by her husband; parents; and her children, Gloria Renee and Robert "Bob" Lyman.
Survivors include her loving children, Victoria Ford, Larry Ford and Gayle (Randy) Bates, all of the Oklahoma metro area; five treasured grandchildren, Angela Wheelock, Crystal Murray, Jessica Schneider, Jennifer Lawton, and Randy Bates, Jr.; and many precious great-grandchildren, loved ones and friends.
Thank you to all of Miss Marguerite's caregivers -Jeannie, Marissa, Brenda and Kenzie. We appreciate all you did to make her last days more comfortable. Thank you, Pastor Mertens, for your prayers and visits. She loved you all!
A graveside service and interment will be held at Bethany Cemetery, Thursday, October 16, 2025 at 11:00 am.
