Maria Arambula

Dodge City - Maria Marquez de Arambula, 87, passed away on October 24, 2025 at Sun Porch of Dodge City. She was born on November 23, 1937 at Chalatenango, El Salvador the daughter of Moieses Marquez and Genoveva Romero.

Maria grew up in El Salvador and later moved to California. She married Dorotes Arambula in California. They later moved to Dodge City where they have resided since. She enjoyed sewing and spending time with friends. Maria worked at Cargill in Dodge City and later at the Salvation Army.

She attended Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church and later the Cathedral of Our Lady of Guadalupe.

Maria is survived by her husband, Dorotes Arambula of Dodge City; five step-children, Connie Arambula of California, Esperanza Arambula of Dodge City, Alfredo Arambula of California, Robert Arambula of Dodge City and Manuel Arambula of Dodge City; two sisters, one brother, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, a stepson, Eliseo Arambula and one brother.

Funeral Mass will be held at the Cathedral of Our Lady of Guadalupe on Friday October 31, 2025 at 10:00 AM with Fr. John Stang presiding. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery in Dodge City. Visitation will be at Swaim Funeral Chapel on Thursday October 30, 2025 from Noon to 7:00 PM with the Vigil Service starting at 7:00 PM. Dodge City - María Márquez de Arámbula, de 87 años, falleció el 24 de octubre de 2025 en Sun Porch de Dodge City. Nació el 23 de noviembre de 1937 en Chalatenango, El Salvador, hija de Moisés Márquez y Genoveva Romero.

María creció en El Salvador y posteriormente se mudó a California. Se casó con Dorotes Arámbula en California. Posteriormente se mudaron a Dodge City, donde residen desde entonces. Disfrutaba de la costura y pasar tiempo con sus amigos. Trabajó en Cargill en Dodge City y posteriormente en el Ejército de Salvación.

Asistió a la Iglesia Católica de Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe y posteriormente a la Catedral de Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe.

A María le sobreviven su esposo, Dorotes Arámbula, de Dodge City; cinco hijastros: Connie Arámbula, de California; Esperanza Arámbula, de Dodge City; Alfredo Arámbula, de California; Robert Arámbula, de Dodge City; y Manuel Arámbula, de Dodge City; dos hermanas, un hermano y numerosos sobrinos y sobrinas. Le precedieron en la muerte sus padres, un hijastro, Eliseo Arámbula, y un hermano.

La misa funebre se celebrará en la Catedral de Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe el viernes 31 de octubre de 2025 a las 10:00 a. m., presidida por el Padre John Stang. El entierro se realizará a continuación en el Cementerio Maple Grove de Dodge City. El velatorio se realizará en la Funeraria Swaim el jueves 30 de octubre de 2025, de 12:00 p.m. hasta las 7:00 p. m., y la vigilia comenzará a las 7:00 p. m.
