Maria M. Arevalo of Yonkers, NY entered into eternal rest with our Lord on July 21, 2025. She was 86 years old.

Our Mother was born on November 28,1938 in San Salvador, El Salvador. She migrated with five of her children to Yonkers, NY in 1981.

She was a devoted and beloved mother of seven: Mirna DelToro (Obed), Jose Tejada, Julio Arevalo, Alicia Y. Rivera (pre-deceased Hector), Xochitl Lizardi (Joseph), Rimay Quintanilla, Civi Martinez (Miguel Jr).

Loving Grandmother of 18: Lauren Acevedo, Xochitl DelToro, Valerie Del Toro-Jimenez, Jose Tejada Jr, Mauricio Tejada, Daniel Tejada, Wesley Tejada, Nicole Tejada, Alejandra Tejada, Marvin Rivera, Christopher Rivera, Christian Rivera, Samantha Lizardi, Daniel Lizardi, Nathaniel Quintanilla, Kristen Salazar, Brianna Farrait, Genesis Martinez and a Loving Great-Grandmother of 20 beautiful great-grand-children who will miss her but her legacy will live in each one of them.

Maria was a member of Iglesia Casa De Dios in Yonkers where she attended with her children and family for many years. She worked at RHoe & Company at 518 Franklin Ave, Mt. Vernon, NY as a parts inspector. She was the only female worker executing that position and she excelled at what she did. She was loved and well respected by her bosses and piers. She later on became a Home Health Aide working for Family Service of Westchester where she retired from. She loved working with her patients and what she did. The love and respect she gained from so many was incredible. Besides this, she also enjoyed selling Avon for so many years. She gained many friends, a lot of free products, had lots of fun going to their monthly meetings and always said "extra cash never hurts anyone". After retirement, she enjoyed traveling to see her children in different parts of the US such as Florida, Oregon, Georgia, San Francisco and her homeland, El Salvador.

She was a single mother who raised her 7 children with much dignity, respect and love. Each one of us will continue to honor her and carry those values she taught us. We made so many beautiful memories with her that will always be in our hearts. Our Lord saw her getting tired, sick and decided it was time to hold her hand and bring her to his eternal home. We will miss you so much mom.

With endless love,

Your children, grand-children, great-grandchildren, friends and all those who knew you.
