To the family of M Carmen Bednar; Carmen was my first supervisor at the Killeen Adult Probation Department. She was a good lady to work with and a friend whom i could pray with. It saddens me that she left us, so young in life, but we believe GODs plans are best; He had His reasons. I am grateful to have worked with her.

To the family: Im so sorry for your loss. I hope you are comforted that they are ALIVE in the presence of our Heavenly Father.

i love YOU!
Coworker & friend, Darlene Curie Bush (she be happy that rick&i married this year)

I spent a lot of time in Carmen´s office so she could translate for my Spanish speakers. She never said no, although I know it wasn´t her favorite thing to do. She always smiled when she spoke to me and we often talked about her kids and family. She was such a proud mama. As a work family, we were proud of her for all her years of accomplishments and admired her fierce ability to put on a brave face at her toughest moments. I will always remember watching her cut into a special cake in celebration of passing her citizens exam. I remember thinking we were witnessing a piece of her history and legacy that her family will forever have to pass on. She was truly amazing. Fly high, Carmen! We will never forget you.

I met Maria (I knew her as Carmen) when I worked at the Bell Clunty Probation office. She was kind and always had a nice word for people. I also remember how hard she worked.

The most kind and sincere woman. She always made time for chats and she was always willing to listen whenever I needed an ear. She loved her kids and family dearly and would always share her proud moments with such joy. You will be missed!
