Maria Dauley Obituary
Born January 8, 1926, in Providence, RI, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Julia (Melito) Grasso.
Maria lived in Schoharie County since 1932 and for the past 20 years has resided in Georgia. She was a short order cook at Howe Caverns for a couple of years and also was an inspector in the two former dress shops in Cobleskill. Maria had worked at the former Eden Park Nursing Home in Cobleskill as a kitchen aide.
Maria was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, William H. Dauley, her sister, Julia Zeh and brothers, William, Frank and Joe Grasso.
Survivors include her daughter, Carmella Beaver and fiancee, Byron Browning of Hiram, GA; two grandchildren: Jennifer Beaver and Scott (Keri) Edwards and four great-grandchildren: Jacob, Amelia, Stella and Lorraine.
Services will be held at Benson Funeral Home in Dallas, Georgia on March 19th. The viewing will be from 4-6 pm with the funeral following directly after.
A graveside service will be held in the spring at Summit Cemetery, Summit, NY.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Mereness-Putnam Funeral Home, 171 Elm St., Cobleskill.
