It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Maria Tomasa De Sanchez, who died peacefully in her sleep on September 16, 2025, in the comfort of her home. She was born on July 5, 1959, in León, Guanajuato, Mexico, to Octavio Nicasio and Juana Chico.

A devoted wife to Antonio Sanchez Castillo, a loving mother, grandmother, and a true friend to many, Tomasa was the heart of her family. Her kindness, strength, and love were evident in every aspect of her life. She faced a lifetime of health challenges, but she never allowed them to define her or stop her from living life to the fullest.

Tomasa found immense joy in the simple pleasures of life. She loved to go shopping and take walks, but her greatest happiness came from being with her grandchildren.

She was known for her delicious cooking and a spirit so welcoming that she opened her home and her kitchen to everyone, ensuring no one ever left hungry.

She held a special place in her heart for her daughters, Veronica Sanchez Nicasio and Cecilia Sanchez Nicasio, who reside in Mexico. She cherished their time together, staying connected through frequent FaceTime calls and visits.

Tomasa is survived by her beloved husband, Antonio Sanchez Castillo, and her children: Teodoro Sanchez Nicasio, Noe Sanchez Nicasio, Miguel Sanchez Nicasio, Manuel Sanchez Nicasio, Rafael Sanchez Nicasio, Julian Sanchez Nicasio, Veronica Sanchez Nicasio, and Cecilia Sanchez Nicasio. She is preceded in death by her parents, Octavio Nicasio and Juana Chico, and her son, Candelario Sanchez Nicasio.

Tomasa will be remembered for her loving spirit, her unwavering strength, and the deep love she had for her family and friends. Her legacy will live on in the memories of those who were fortunate enough to know her.

Cremation has been chosen as her final disposition.
