Maria Dzomic, 76, of Danielsville, passed away peacefully Tuesday, November 4, 2025, in her home surrounded by her family. She was the wife of Ratko Dzomic, whom she married May 17, 1970. Born on September 22, 1949, in Sombor, Serbia, she was the daughter of the late Franja and Marija (Kurel) Bakic. Maria dedicated her life to caring for others. She was a devoted homemaker, lovingly raising her children before beginning her career at ACME, where she worked for many years in the bakery department at the Whitehall store. After retiring, she once again devoted herself to her family, cherishing her role as caregiver to her beloved grandchildren. Maria also enjoyed gardening, baking, and hosting family gatherings, where her warmth and love always shone brightest.
In addition to her husband, she will be remembered by her daughter, Slavica Benedix of Danielsville; son, Nicholas Dzomic and wife Michele of Danielsville; grandchildren, Kayla & Nicholas. She was preceded in death by her sister, Katarina.
A memorial service will be held at 11am on Saturday, November 8, 2025, at Harding Funeral Home, 25-27 N. 2nd Street, Slatington. Family and friends may pay their respects from 10 to 11am.
