Maria Concepcion Flores

Maria Concepcion Flores, age 79, of Grand Rapids, formerly of Onsted, passed away May 24, 2025, at home with her family. She was born December 8, 1945, in Santa Rosa, TX, the daughter of Jesus & Barbarita (Maldonado) Perez. Maria worked at Fisher Body in Tecumseh, MI until they closed and went onto to work for Edscha in Jackson, MI, where she retired from. She attended St. Joseph Shrine Catholic Church in the Irish Hills. Maria loved to go to Mexican Dances and also loved to sew & crochet. She enjoyed cooking with her family and being outside gardening. Maria is survived by her children, Melinda (Patrick) Wixom, Melissa Burgess and Richard Jr. (Elizabeth) Flores; her grandchildren, Kylie Flores, Cole Wixom, Emily Wixom, Courtney (Matt) Davis, Alex Flores, Amelia Flores, Robbie (Anna) Yineman and Zach Flores; several great grandchildren; two sisters, Gloria Perez, Ida (Guillermo) Torres; three brothers, Israel (Norma) Perez, Jesus Perez and Ricardo Perez; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Jesus & Barbarita Perez, she was preceded in death by five brothers, Angel Perez, Victor Perez, Hector Perez Librado "Lee" Perez and Ramiro Perez. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, May 31, 2025, at Purse Funeral Home, 2959 N. Adrian Hwy, Adrian, MI, with Fr. Bob Pienta presiding. Rite of Committal will follow in Lenawee Hills Memorial Gardens. Viewing & Visitation will be on Friday from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Purse Funeral Home in Adrian, MI. www.PurseFuneralHome.com
