Le sobreviven su esposo, Efrén García; sus hijos Claudia Edith Mendoza, Berenice Alely Mendoza, Jessica Yazmín Samaniego y Efren Eduardo Garcia: así como sus siete adorados nietos, quienes fueron una de las mayores alegrías de su vida.
María Teresa fue una mujer de gran fortaleza, con un corazón lleno de amor y una fe profunda en Dios. Le encantaba cantar y compartir momentos de alegría con su familia. Su voz, su sonrisa y su ejemplo de valentía permanecerán por siempre en los corazones de quienes la amaron.
Su memoria vivirá eternamente en cada canción, en cada risa y en cada oración que la recuerde con amor.
