Maria Garza Obituary
Maria Estefana Garza passed away on March 15th, 2025 at home in San Antonio, Texas.
Rosary will be held at Chapel Hill Funeral Home, Thursday March 20th, 2025 at 12:00 PM.
Funeral Service/Mass will follow also at Chapel Hill Funeral Home, Thursday March 20th, 2025 at 1:00 PM.
Burial service will follow the funeral service, also on the grounds of Chapel Hill.
Father Richard Aguilar will be officiating all services.
Maria was born to Jose Maria and Santos M Garcia on December 26, 1938, in Mercedez, Texas. She married Edward Borrego Garza on January 1970, and welcomed her son, Edward G Garza III in November of the same year.
Maria spent her teen years and early 20s as a field worker, picking vegetables as far north as Minnesota. She spent her 30s and 40s working at Victoria Tortilla Factory. She was able to retire in the 1990s, and devoted her time to caring for her family, home, pets, and yards.
She is preceded in death by her parents, and her husband.
She is survived by her son Edward Garza, and his wife, Shirley A Garza.
