Maria M Gonzalez, a beloved member of the El Paso community, passed away on January 21, 2026, at the age of 76. Born on July 17, 1949, in El Paso, TX, Maria dedicated her life to nurturing and caring for those around her. She was not only an attentive caregiver but also a source of love and inspiration, having raised generations of children in her family and beyond.
Maria was particularly known for her love of singing, a joyful sound that brought together friends and family alike. Her warm personality and nurturing spirit left a lasting impact on everyone she encountered. As a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, she created cherished memories that will be remembered by all who knew her.
Maria is survived by her loving husband, Jaime Gonzalez; her children, Robert Gonzalez (Esmeralda) and Demetrio Gonzalez (Jamie); and her daughter, Flor Providence (Barry Providence). She is also survived by her granddaughter, Samantha Gonzalez, along with 61 grand and great-grandchildren who carry on her legacy of love and care.
She is preceded in death by her father, Alberto Beltran; her mother, Marina H. Gonzalez; and her children: Jaime Gonzalez Jr, Tomas Gonzalez, Belen Gonzalez, and Cynthia Ann Aleman. Her brother, Francisco Madrid, also passed before her.
A visitation to honor Maria's memory will be held on February 7, 2026, from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM at Sunset Funeral Homes - Northeast, located at 4631 Hondo Pass, El Paso, TX. Following the visitation, a Celebration of Life will take place at the same location, starting at 9:30 AM and concluding at 10:30 AM. Afterwards, she will be laid to rest at Restlawn Memorial Cemetery, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
Maria M Gonzalez leaves behind a rich legacy of love, kindness, and treasured memories that will forever remain in the hearts of her family and friends. She will be profoundly missed but lovingly remembered.
