It is with deep sadness that we announce Maria D. Guerrero, 75, passed away peacefully on October 25, 2025, surrounded by loved ones. She was a devoted wife, loving mother and proud grandmother.
Maria will be remembered for her faith in our Lord Jesus Christ, her warmth, strength and love she shared with being of service to everyone around her. Throughout her life, she touched the hearts of everyone she met.
Born in Ecuador, Maria migrated to the U.S. at the early age of 18 years old. She came here to make a new life for herself and help out her family in Ecuador. Here she met her beloved husband Augusto Guerrero and shared 54 years of marriage.
Maria’s passions included her love for the word of God and serving in the church when she was well. She loved spreading the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ to whoever would listen. She enjoyed cooking and hosting friends and loved ones. Maria enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and helped raise and care for all her grandchildren while they were babies and was loved by them all. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Maria is preceded in death by her husband, Augusto Guerrero and son, Fausto Guerrero. She is survived by her daughter Linda Pretico and her husband Lyndon; son, Christian Guerrero, and his wife Kimberly; grandchildren, Giovanni, Amanda, Mark, Fausto and Giana, who were the light of her life. She was also deeply appreciated by many extended family members and friends.
Her family takes comfort in knowing that her legacy of faith, kindness, and love will live on through all who were touched by her warmth. We take hold of God’s promise to us in John 11:25
“I am the resurrection and the life. Anyone who believes in me will live, even even after dying. Everyone who lives in me and believes in me will never die.”
