Maria Hernandez

Is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of our beautiful mother, Maria "Angela" Hernandez. Our mother was one of the kindest, courageous, loving and caring person we'll ever know. She loved and cared for her loved ones very hard. Her kids and grandkids were her life. She loved all her brothers and sisters. She loved all her nephews and nieces. She was like a second mom to all of them. She was a true warrior and fought a good fight, until the end. She made sure her family and friends were okay. She didn't hesitate to help anyone in need. Loving and supportive woman. She raised 3 beautiful children. Her grandkids were her life and the light, of her eyes. Her smile and love will make anyone happy. She never turned her back on anybody. We were blessed and lucky to have her as our mother, father, rock but most importantly our protector. She will always be in our hearts.
Reposing Thursday, February 27th from 4:00 - 7:00 pm at Riverdale-on-Hudson Funeral Home: 6110 Riverdale Ave, Bronx, NY 10471. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 9:00 am Friday, February 28th at Our Lady Queen of Martyrs - St Jude Parish: 439 West 204th Street, New York, NY 10034. Interment St. Mary's Cemetery: 114 Sprain Rd, Yonkers, NY 10710
