Maria Klimantis Karageorgiou, lovingly known as Tsingra, was a radiant presence whose energy, beauty, and spirit touched every life she encountered. She was a devoted and loving YiaYia and Granny to Maria (Phil) Conil, Sava Berger, Sophia Berger, and Alayanna Klimantis. Nothing brought her more pride than her grandchildren, who carry forward her beauty, strength, style, and spark. She was a wonderful and dedicated mother to Zenovia (Peter) Klimantis, Emmanuel Klimantis, Elleni (Randy) Berger, Vasilia (Chris) Berger, and the late son-in-law, Jay Berger. Her love for her children was fierce, unwavering, and lifelong. Maria was a cherished sister to Stella Hrisafinas and Marietta Papastergou, sharing with them a lifetime of memories, laughter, and resilience. She was the energetic, honest, caring, and delightfully sarcastic Thea to Karen, Elleni, George, Gus, Bill, Steve, John, and Peter. Her presence filled every room, and her voice, humor, and wisdom will echo in their hearts forever. An amazing and committed cousin to all the Pethakas and Karageorgiou cousins - especially Elpida and Mike.

Maria valued family deeply and nurtured those bonds with pride and devotion. She was a teacher in her own extraordinary way, teaching daily lessons through her dazzling performances of dressing, beauty, confidence, and self-respect. She showed everyone that presentation was an art form and that life was meant to be lived boldly and beautifully. A special dedication is made for Europola, who showed her how to love fully and find happiness through sewing, cooking, and embracing the community around her. Through those lessons, Maria became the poised and regal woman so many admired - sophisticated, timeless, and unforgettable. A true trendsetter. The beautiful village girl from Asklipio who traveled across the seas - from Rhodes, Greece, to Brisbane, Australia, to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. In every country and every home, she became a positive force, a burst of sunshine adorned with natural beauty, dazzling earrings, clothing, and beautiful lipstick. She made every place she lived brighter simply by being there.

Maria was married to the late George Klimantis, with whom she shared nearly 40 years of her earlier life with.
