Maria S. Linares

Maria S. Linares embraced God on December 1, 2025, in San Antonio, Texas, at the age of 85. She was born on June 14, 1940 in Piedras Negras, Coahuila, Mexico. She was preceded in death by her parents Juan Estrada Salazar and Maria De Los Angeles Luna Suquett; sister Alicia Medrano; brothers Daniel Salazar, Guadalupe Salazar, Gilberto Salazar, Juan Salazar, and Raul Salazar. She is survived by her loving husband Ramon R. Linares; daughters Deyanira Palacios (Rudy) and Sandra Linares (Mario Vasquez); sons Jose Linares (Anna) and Jorge Linares (Melissa); sister Maria Elena Salazar. She is also survived by grandchildren Kristopher Palacios, Jordan Palacios, Allison Linares, Lauren Linares, Nathan Linares, Danika Linares, and Bailey Linares and 5 great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; other family members and friends. She was loved by all and will be deeply missed by everyone who knew her.

Mrs. Linares married in 1959 and devoted her life to her family through prayer and unwavering support. She always greeted others with a warm smile and was willing to help anyone without ever expecting anything in return. Our mom leaves a tremendous void in our lives, but we thank God for the time He blessed us with her. We take comfort in knowing that she now rests peacefully, free from the pain she endured for so long.

SERVICES

Visitation will be Tuesday, December 9, 2025 from 4:00PM till 8:00PM with a Rosary being recited at 6:30PM at Palm Heights Mortuary, 3711 S Zarzamora St. San Antonio, TX 78225. Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, December 10, 2025 at 10:00AM at Our Lady of Angels Catholic Church, 1214 Stonewall St, San Antonio, TX, with interment to follow at Mission Burial Park South
