Maria Soraida Montelongo, born on January 4, 1970, passed away peacefully on February 1, 2026.

Maria was beautiful, loving, and endlessly caring-full of joy, with a laugh that could light up any room. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend - she loved her family with her whole heart, especially her granddaughters, who were the light of her life. Family always came first for her, no matter the circumstance, and she was always there with open arms, a kind word, and unwavering support.

She found peace and happiness in nature and had a deep love for animals, reflecting the gentleness and compassion of her spirit. She loved preparing meals, laughing, singing, going to the movies, sharing memories, and working on puzzles. Wherever she went, she was a ray of sunshine-bringing warmth, laughter, and comfort to those around her. Her kindness knew no limits, and her love touched countless lives. Her nurturing heart, gentle spirit, and devotion to her family will be remembered always by those who knew and loved her. She will be deeply missed, but her light will live on in the hearts, memories, and love of all who were blessed to know her. Though she is no longer with us, her love remains-guiding, comforting, and shining brightly forever.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Arturo Montelongo; her daughter, Jennifer Montelongo; her son, Andres Montelongo; her cherished granddaughters; and many extended family members and friends.

A visitation will be held on Friday, February 6, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Sterling White Funeral Home. A funeral service will begin at 12:00 p.m., followed by burial at Sterling White Cemetery.

María era hermosa, amorosa y profundamente cariñosa llena de alegría, con una risa que iluminaba cualquier lugar. Esposa, madre, abuela, hija y hermana. Dedicaba su amór a su familia con todo su corazón, especialmente a sus nietas, quienes eran la luz de su vida. Para ella, la familia siempre fue lo primero, sin importar las circunstancias, y siempre estaba ahí con los brazos abiertos, una palabra amable y un apoyo incondicional.

Encontraba paz y felicidad en la naturaleza y tenía un profundo amor por los animales, reflejo de la ternura y compasión de su espíritu. Disfrutaba preparar comidas, reír, cantar, ir al cine, compartir recuerdos y armar rompecabezas. Dondequiera que iba, era un rayo de sol llevando calidez, risas y consuelo a quienes la rodeaban. Su bondad no conocía límites y su amor tocó innumerables vidas. Su corazón generoso, su espíritu apacible y su devoción a la familia serán recordados siempre y por todos los que la conocieron y amaron. Será profundamente extrañada, pero su luz vivirá para siempre en los corazones, recuerdos y amor de todos los que tuvieron la bendición de conocerla. Aunque ya no esté con nosotros, su amor permanece guiando, reconfortando y brillando intensamente por siempre.

Le sobreviven su amado esposo, Arturo Montelongo; su hija, Jennifer Montelongo; su hijo, Andrés Montelongo; sus queridas nietas; así como muchos familiares y amigos.

La velación se llevará a cabo el viernes 6 de febrero de 2026, de 10:00 a.m. a 12:00 p.m., en Sterling White Funeral Home. El servicio funerario comenzará a las 12:00 p.m., seguido del sepelio en el Cementerio Sterling White.
