Maria Moore Obituary
January 19, 1959 - July 24, 2024
Spokane, WA-Maria Diane Moore was born in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Ms. Alice Moore and Mr. Alfred Charles Moore.
Maria was 4 years old when her family relocated to Spokane, WA, in 1963. She resided there into her adulthood, later venturing to Seattle, WA. She attended Rogers High School and was a revolutionary woman who engaged in non-traditional work, including construction, and also held careers in childcare and as a teacher's assistant.
Maria was a beautiful, ingenious, and compassionate woman who always won over people's hearts. She spent her last weeks in Spokane, surrounded by many loving family members, before she transitioned onto her new journey. She was deeply loved and will truly be missed.
Maria leaves behind her loving mother, Ms. Alice Moore; three beautiful sons, Cameron & Camillo Winfrey, and Isaiah Jenkins; three siblings, Michelle Moore-Morris, Michael Moore, and Monica Moore; four grandchildren, Khalil, Kadeja, Tamryn, and Sage; one great-grandchild, Amilliana; her auntie, J Collins; cousins, Teresa and Tonya; plus a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held from 12:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, August 24th, 2024, at the West Central Community Center, 1603 N. Belt, Spokane, WA, in the Newton Room and Courtyard.

Our family want to send our deepest condolences. I know my cousin is at peace and is now with our heavenly father. When growing up we loved spending time with our Aunt Alice, Michelle, Michael, Monica and Maria. We love all of you so much and our prayers are with each of you. Love you very much. I got to know Maria through her beloved sister, Mo. Thanks to Mo´s never ending sacrifices to stand by her sister through thick and thin demonstrated true commitment and compassion. We visited with Maria in the hospital where we talked and laughed. She was having a good day and we had such a good time. We had dinner with her and Ms Alice at our favorite Seattle Restaurant. Maria knew how much her sister Mo loved her. I was happy to get to know Maria and so sorry to see her go. Rest in peace and power, Maria. We´ll see you in the morning.

Dear Cousin, I will forever remember your BIG beautiful smile and incredible, infectious laughter. My mom and aunt Mildred putting their heads together saying "Now those two (you and I) do NOT need to run together!" LOL That made me want to run with YOU all the more. Rest in Paradise, until we meet again.
