Maria Yolisma Ojeda

Mrs. Ojeda, thanks for believing in me. Though I´m sure I was just a blip on your long teaching career, you made an immeasurable impact on my life by not writing me off and understanding that sometimes learning takes time. I went to college, graduated with an engineering degree, and now have a wonderful life...probably because you had the patience and determination to help me. I´m still thankful 22 years later.

As you remember your loved one and reflect on treasured memories may you take comfort in knowing that God heals the broken hearted (Psalm 147:3)

I remember Maria from my days at Spreckels. She was particularly devoted to students who were struggling, and would stay after work to help them. Prayers for her family.

As a fellow teacher and a mother of a student who enjoyed Miss Ojeda I have fond memories of her at Spreckels School. She was always concerned about the progress of her students and only wanted the best for them. Thank you, Maria.

I enjoyed working with Maria as a part of the 4th grade team at Spreckels. She was a kind person who often worked many hours after school to help many of her struggling students. She was an inspiration to many students and teachers. I will always remember her as a friend and a colleague.
My prayers are with her family.

Maria was a kind and dedicated teacher. I was previleged to teach with her at Spreckels School. She went above and beyond to get her students on track. She will be missed and thought of with great kindness by all.

What I'll remember is my sister & I helping Tia Yolisma get her classroom ready for the next school year. It was work but never felt like that for me. It was fun. And I'll always remember that time with her. Thank you Tia for the memory. Give a big hug to my mom, baby Martinez, Grandpa, Grandma, Tio Jesse & Cuco for me. I miss you all.

I worked with Maria at Spreckels School. She did, indeed, have a generous heart and loved her students. She often spent her lunches and after school time tutoring those who needed extra help. I'm so very sorry for your loss.
