Maria Teresa Remache born October 7, 1960 in Deleg Ecuador to Maria Ignacia Yauri and Luis Gonzalo Yauri. She was the oldest of her siblings, Georgina, Luis, Leonor, Mercedes and Sandra. Married to her beloved husband Jose Vicent Remache (JVR) September 13, 1978. In good time and bad time they remained faithful to each other for 47 years. Husband José Vicente Remache, Children Diana Elizabeth Cajamarca, Olger Patricio Remache, Daisy Johanna Remache.
Grandchildren Gabriel Cajamarca, Anthony Remache, Joshua Cajamarca, Daniel and Raquel Remache (The Twins), Matthew Cajamarca, Isabel Remache, Natalie Ruiz, Katelynn Cajamarca, Xavier García, Jacob García and Gennaro Remache. She was known by her middle name, Teresa, Teresita, Tochi, Tere and as Lita by her grandchildren. Family unity was important to her. She was loved by all her family, known in her neighborhood for being a kind and respectful person. Along with her beloved husband they owned "Maria's Deli" and she was very well thought of by community customers. She was a very supportive wife, she worked side by side with her beloved husband JVR in the afternoons and on weekends at Maria's Deli. She was known for her welcoming and positive attitude, she was a dreamer, she loved her kids, but her grandkids so much more. She was mild tempered and kind. She loved her pets, Rainbow and Paco (Parrots) and her most recent pet Pancho her bearded dragon whom she rescued and nursed back to health. Aside from having her own business Maria's Deli, she worked for The Board of Ed as School Lunch Aid, she was known as "mom" by the kids. My sister noticed one day when visiting her at work, the kids would run up to her and call her "mom". Being around the children was the highlight of her days there in the schools in Chelsea and at PS 59. Sadly our beloved mom was taken from us on May 26, 2025. Although we are heartbroken, we are comforted in knowing that she is no longer suffering, she's in God's memory and forever in ours too. She left with grace. She comforted, showed consideration and love to the very end. During her last few days she didn't cry, she comforted her husband when he cried at her bedside and showed concern for my sister and I. Held our hands to keep them warm and sent us home to rest. She never stopped being a mom. She was tired and left us peacefully and just wanted to see all of us united. It's comforting to see how she has bought us all together, family near by and far. We feel great gratitude for all the support. My grandparents, her siblings, my siblings and her grandchildren will see her again. It's our hope.
