Maria Stefanski

Maria F. Stefanski, 90, peacefully left us on December 11, 2025, while residing at Autumn Lake Healthcare in Old Bridge, NJ.
Maria was the eldest of 13 children, born in Aibonito, PR. She came to NJ in 1951, living in Aberdeen until she married in 1956 and moved to Old Bridge.
She was a member of St. Lawrence Church in Laurence Harbor for many years. She sang in their choir and was a CYO Advisor during that time, as well as a member of the Altar Rosary Society. Maria was also a member of "Friends of Seniors" here in Old Bridge, as well as a regular at Silver Linings Senior Center.
She was predeceased by her son Walter Jr. in 1991 and husband Walter Sr. in 2001.
She is survived by her son Edward and his wife Beth and beloved grandpuppy Finn, her son Paul and his wife and two sons. She is also survived by a stepdaughter, Jackie Stefanski of Largo, FL and her family. Maria also leaves behind her beloved grandchildren, Susan Smith and her husband Blane of KS, Jordan Stefanski of Dunellen, NJ, and Jillian Stefanski and her "Roofer Guy" Vitaly in Mt. Bethel, PA, as well as several great grandchildren. Eight of Maria's siblings remain as well.
Per her own wishes, there will be no services, and Maria will be privately cremated.
Edward and Beth want to personally thank all the nurses, aides, and employees who cared for Maria so kindly during her stay. It will not be forgotten.
