Maria Tabacchi Obituary
Maria was diagnosed at birth with partial trisomy 10q a rare genetic disorder that was supposed to leave her bedridden, unable to speak, with a life expectancy of one year. 36 years later, Maria's life was marked by a contagious laughter that brightened the days of those around her, she walked independently and spoke fluently. She had a passion for baking, especially her famous sugar cookies, and found joy in celebrating birthdays and holidays with her loved ones.
Maria taught her family and those around her the importance of savoring life's small moments and taking things at a slower pace. She was the cornerstone of her family, always bringing them together with her warmth and love. Maria had a knack for finding humor in everyday situations, especially when people around her made mistakes, and loved watching game shows like Jeopardy!, Wheel of Fortune, and Cops.
She had a special fondness for Chinese restaurants, super burgers at Eat n Park, balloons, and the Christmas holiday. Maria's meticulousness with her finances, love for counting money, and handling payments at restaurants showcased her responsible and organized nature.
Maria will be deeply missed by her parents, John and Mufi, brother JW, sister Heather, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her laughter, love, and zest for life will forever remain in the hearts of those she touched.
We will be receiving friends and family to celebrate Maria's life on Friday May 3rd, 2024, from 4-8pm and Saturday May 4th from 9:30-10:45 am at BURKET-TRUBY FUNERAL HOME CREMATION AND ALTERNATIVE SERVICES, INC. at 421 Allegheny Ave, Oakmont, PA 15139.
We will also be holding a memorial service on Saturday May 4th at 11am at Riverside Community Church 401 Allegheny Ave, Oakmont, PA 15139. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Children's Home of Pittsburgh & Lemieux Family Center in Maria's honor via this link https://interland3.donorperfect.net/weblink/weblink.aspx?name=E352536&id=1
