Mary Vasiliou (1935–2025)

Mary Vasiliou passed away peacefully on July 15, 2025, in Towson, Maryland at age 90, surrounded by loved ones. Born in Athens, Greece, to Vangeli and Hripsime Raptis, she survived the hardships of WWII, enduring persecution for her faith as a third-generation Jehovah's Witness. Baptized at 15, she devoted over 20 years to full-time ministry, helping many embrace their faith.

Mary immigrated to the U.S. in 1966 after marrying Emmanuel Vasiliou, with whom she shared 21 years of loving marriage until his passing in 1987. Together they raised two children, Lilly and John, instilling spiritual values and strength of character. A devoted grandmother, she shared her wisdom, warmth, and humor with her three grandchildren, Emmanuel, Katerina, and Zafiri.

Renowned for her generosity, resilience, and faith, Mary lived a life of service-to her family, congregation, and community. She was a skilled seamstress, gardener, and homemaker, and worked tirelessly in support of her family and faith.

Mary is united in hope with her beloved husband, looking forward to a promised resurrection. She leaves a legacy of unwavering faith, love, and dignity that will inspire generations to come.

She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered.

Friends may visit at the family-owned Duda-Ruck Funeral Home od Dundalk, Inc. 7922 Wise Avenue on Saturday July 26, 2025 from 3:30PM-6:00PM; where a funeral service will be held at 6 PM. A graveside service will be held on Sunday July 27, 2025 at 11 AM At Oak Lawn Cemetery.
