Marian Campana Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Skyview Memorial Lawn on Dec. 6, 2025.
Marian J. Campana

August 6, 1934 - November 29, 2025

Marian Joyce (Ingelberton) Campana was born on August 6, 1934 in Chicago, Illinois. She was the eldest

of 3 siblings born to Ellen Ingelberton (5/25/1914). She was preceded in death by her husband

Lamberto (Bert) G. Campana, Sr., her son Lamberto G. Campana, Jr., her mother and step father Ellen

and Zacharius (Lolo Popeye) Rosario and her brothers Ciry Ramirez, Sr. and Jan Ramirez. She passed

away peacefully on November 29, 2025 in Vallejo, CA with her loving family by her bedside.

Marian and Bert were married on September 14, 1956. They had 5 children: Bert, Jr. (dec.) (Ellen Rose),

Ellen (Leroy) Maestas, Rick (Margaret), Eddie (Tamara) and Kathy (Felix) Guevara. She is also survived by

10 grandchildren: L.J. Maestas, Jenica (La'Marcos) Maestas, Jessica (Ramon) Villanueva, Berto (Dasha)

Campana, Alysia (Wayne) McCalley, Jennifer (Tim) Guertin, Breanna Maestas, C.J. Campana, Michael

Guevara, and Alex Campana; 16 great grandchildren: Analiyah (Chris) Maestas, Isaiah Vasquez, Josavion

Maestas, Terrell Blutcher, Jordan (Aaliyah) McCalley, Jovantae Maestas, Josiah Guevara, Jonah McCalley,

Alexander Villanueva, Caleb Villanueva, Jayla McCalley, Averie Villanueva, T.J. Foreman, Jo'Sani Maestas,

Leo Foreman and La'Marcia Rayford; and 1 great-great granddaughter Aalani McCalley. She also leaves

behind several nieces and nephews.

Marian grew up in Chicago, IL and attended an all-girls catholic school where she was a member of the

choir. She met her husband Bert there who was serving in the U.S. Navy. After they married, they

moved to Portsmouth VA where he was stationed. Since Bert was out to sea the majority of the time

Marian was taking care of her 5 children on her own as the Navy brought them to Rhode Island, back to

Virginia and finally to San Francisco, California where Bert retired after serving 26 years. They then

moved their family to American Canyon, CA in 1973. As the children got older, Marian worked at Bank

of America both on Hunter's Point Naval Shipyard and in Vallejo, CA. She decided to end her career with

Bank of America to become a full time grandma, starting with her first grandchild L.J. Throughout the

years she continued to watch all of her grandchildren at one time or another. Family meant everything

to her!

Marian was a very loving and caring mom, grandma, Lola, great-grandma and great-great grandma. She

never hesitated helping anyone in the family that was in need. She would attend her local senior center

where she loved going to the lunches, field trips; in addition to the exercise and dance classes. She also

loved to travel the world with her good friend Maggie Green. Together they visited Italy, China, Alaska,

and Europe; just to name a few. One of her favorite things she loved with a passion was reading. She

was lucky enough to have a book mobile that parked on the side of her house for many years. This was

something she looked forward to going to weekly; even taking her grandkids there as well. After the

book mobile closed, she started collecting her own books. Her collection has grown to well over a

thousand; which she proudly displayed on the many book shelves she has throughout her house.

We are so thankful for her and were blessed to have her on this earth for over 91 years; we all will miss

her so much. Although our hearts are broken, it is comforting to know that she is reunited with her

husband, son, mother and brothers. Her final resting place will be at the Sacramento Valley National

Cemetery in Dixon with her beloved husband. Sleep well mom, you will forever be in our hearts.
