Marian Edgman Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Mercer-Adams Funeral Service on Nov. 4, 2025.
Marian Edgman went home to be with the Lord at 97 years of age after suffering from dementia. She took her flight from San Antonio, TX on November 2, 2025 at 11:00 pm. She was born in Lincoln, Nebraska on April 28, 1928 to Conrad and Katherine Elizabeth Loos, the 8th of 9 children. Marian's life could be summed up in this: she loved her husband, family, friends and church family.
Marian worked in Lincoln, Nebraska for Southwestern Bell before meeting Robert (Bob) Edgman. They married and then moved to Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and raised their 3 children. She continued to work for AT&T for 30 years. She lived in Oklahoma City for 50 years.
Marian was a longtime member of Putnam City Baptist Church. She volunteered in many areas. She sang in the choir, organized the music for the choir director, and loved sharing what God had been doing in her life with her care groups and her Sunday School class.
She was a volunteer at Deaconess Hospital for many years, especially after the passing of her husband. She painted, crocheted, and drew pen-and-inks to give away to friends and family. In 2015, Marian fought and won the battle against cancer. Following her recovery, her eyesight diminished and it was determined to be in her best interest to live with family in San Antonio, TX. She was a faithful sister in her church, Gatherings in Jesus' Name, for the past 10 years.
Marian was preceded in death by her parents, Conrad and Elizabeth Loos; her husband, Robert Clayton Edgman; son, Larry Guy Edgman; and all 8 of her siblings. The first siblings, Jake and Clara, died in infancy, followed by the next 6 siblings, Clara, Freida, Jake, Conrad, Adam, and Edward.
She is survived by her two daughters, Diane and husband Richard Morris of Franklin, TN and Debra and husband Joe West, who are missionaries in Poland. She is also survived by her 8 grandchildren and their spouses, 23 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild.
Viewing at Mercer-Adams is Sunday, 1-8pm. Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 10, 2:00pm, at Mercer-Adams Chapel with interment to follow in Spring Creek Cemetery.

We send our deepest condolences to the family. However, we did not know Marian very well and had only met her a few times. We knew she was a god fearing woman who loved her family deeply. We know that she is in the loving arms of Jesus right now, and rest assured that we will see her sweet loving face again. God bless the family, and we pray that god gives you peace and reassurance at this time. With Love, The Green Family

May she rest in peace in the loving arms of our Lord Jesus Christ for eternity. She was a woman of many talents and gifts which she shared graciously with all who needed help or a lift of the spirit.

I sure will miss the phone calls from my favorite aunt!! I loved her so much. Aunt Marian was my greatest role model in my Christian faith & I still strive to be just like her. I love you Aunt Marian.

What a beautiful woman. She and my mother, Abby McGlothlan Keith, became friends through PCBC . When I would attend services with my mom, Marion was always there to greet me, and share with me her beautiful spirit, and that beautiful. She was a shining light for so many I´m sure.

Diane and Debbie, it´s sad to hear of your mom´s passing. I remember when your family would come back to Lincoln to see family here. But you can rejoice she is in Heaven with our Savior.
