My condolences to the Morrison family. I loved your mother and have missed her at our Chaparral meetings. Kelly, I am Johnny Long's mother.

My grandmother, Marian, was an amazing individual. Her wit, spark, and sheer force of will were an inspiration to me and many others who knew her. I owe my education and much of my drive to succeed to her and her late husband Ken. I will miss her very much and I hope she knows how grateful I am.

Marian and her family meant a great deal to me. We were neighbors for many years, and she was a great help in raising my son. He and Marian's children all played together in their big extra lot.

Marian was a very loving and caring person. It was my privilege to get better acquainted with her through an organization called “The Chaparrals”. I was very happy to see that she was cared for so nicely by her family after she had to leave her home.

Marian Alice Taylor Henderson was the best Grandmother anyone could ever dream of having. She was graceful, smart, funny, caring, beautiful, giving of her time, resourceful, and pure inspiration. I always felt love in her presence and can only hope to carry her message through the rest of my life so that others may feel this same love that she gave to all of us.
You are forever with me. Thank goodness for that.
Love,
Alexander Morrison Hamlin

I remember the hospitality shown to me by Mrs. Henderson and the Morrison family in the 1960's. She seemed to be young at heart at that time and apparently continued to be so. I'm glad she encouraged her children in music and sports. I enjoyed the singing group with Mary and the volleyball (apparently a family musical and athletic legacy) with the Morrison family at Mesa Methodist.
My Mom is also 97 years young and have appreciated her longevity. I want to extend my sympathy to the Morrison family. Best regards

My thoughts are with the family of Mrs. Henderson with whom I shared many good musical times, and specifically Mary and John, in the ASU Concert Choir. I trust that both are healthy and still involved musically.
