Marian F. Hyde, 83, of Fort Dodge, IA, died Wednesday, February 12, 2025, at Grandview Health Care Center in Dayton, IA. Private family services will be held at a later date. Memorials may be directed to the family. Arrangements are with Historic Bruce Funeral Home of Fort Dodge.
Marian was born October 1, 1941, in Fort Dodge, the daughter of Andrew and Eva (Chambers) Cote. She graduated from St. Edmond Catholic School in 1959. Marian was united in marriage to Arthur M. Hyde. She was a homemaker who enjoyed playing cards and visiting with family and friends. Those who knew her well will remember her fondly for her love of playing BINGO, a favorite pastime she often enjoyed alongside her beloved husband.
Marian is survived by her daughter: Vickie Hyde of Fort Dodge; step-daughter: Sue Schnathorst of Des Moines; and step-grandchildren: Leroy Schnathorst III of Des Moines, IA, Laura Halldin of Ankeny IA, and Jenny Openheiem of Ankeny. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband in 2004; step-son: Wayne Hyde; and step-son-in-law: Leroy Schnathorst II.
Marian had a good simple life and will be deeply missed.
