Marian Kerlinske Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Shimon Funeral Home on Oct. 1, 2025.
Marian Elizabeth (nee Wilcox) Kerlinske of Hartford passed away peacefully at the age of 101 on August 5th, 2025.
Marian was born on February 12th, 1924, in West Bend, Wisconsin to Herbert and Hortense Wilcox. She met her late husband, Bill, at a dance hall on Big Cedar Lake. This is where the legacy of good times began, which continues to be carried on by her kids, grandkids, and great grandkids.
Aside from raising her three children alongside Bill, she also was a librarian for Hartford Public Schools, a passion that was carried on by both her daughters in their life-long careers at the Hartford Public Library.
Marian loved to read, enjoyed various crafts, and doing crossword puzzles. Her favorite past time, by far, was spending time with her family and friends.
Whether it was all the good times up at Chute Pond with Don & Curlie, sitting outside at their lake house in Hustisford, or at their place in Florida. Marian KNEW how to have a good time! She never met a bartender that she didn't love.
Loving wife of late Bill. Loving mother to Kris (Bob); Marcia (John); and Steven (Sue). Proud Grandma and Great-Grandma to Julie (Kelly, Sawyer, Ella); Eric (Luke, Blake), Joshua (Sheryl, Sheldon, Afton) and Erin (Luke, Joel). Sister to Betty (Jim) and Joanne (Harold).
While no funeral services will be held, plans for a "celebration of life" will be coordinated at a later date. The family would like to give special thanks to Aurora Hospice, especially to Marcie, Kate and Jill. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Marian's name are appreciated to The Make A Wish Foundation or the American Cancer Society.
