Marian Stelter Obituary

Marian Stelter
Born: September 3, 1939 in Chicago, IL
Died: September 29, 2025 in Wonder Lake, IL
Marian (Wiggins) Stelter of Wonder Lake was born September 3, 1939 in Chicago, IL to Robert and Helen Wiggins. Marian passed away September 29, 2025 at the age of 86.
On October 18, 1958 she married the love of her life Julius (Jay ) Stelter. They spent 66 beautiful years together.
Marian is survived by her two daughters, Lynn Enberg and Jill (Jose) Garza. 5 Grandchildren, Josh Enberg, Heather (Jodie) Tody-Schamper, Steven (Heather) Enberg, Brittany (Ian) McCafferty and Brandon Tody. 6 Great-Grandchildren, Taelyn, Easton, Tyson Viston, Emma and Irelyn and 1 sister Carol Fulton. She is preceded by her husband of 66 years, Jay (12/5/24), both parents and her mother and father-in-law.
Marian had a strong faith in God and dedicated her life to the Lutheran church.
She had the most important job in the world. She was a housewife and stay-at-home mom. She did everything for her husband and two daughters.
She loved sewing of any kind. She was always crafting, crocheting and knitting. Every "little" she ever met was gifted a handmade afghan made with love. Marian was a avid reader.
She was little but oh was she mighty.
A special thank you to Harvard Mercy Home Care Center and Journey Care Hospice for the wonderful care they provided in keeping her comfortable in her final days.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date for Marian and Jay.
Memorials can be made to her family.
