Marianne (Muñoz) Contreras, age 71, of
Georgetown, Texas, was called home to be with the Lord on December 20, 2025, in
Georgetown, Texas. She was born on March 9, 1954, in Georgetown, where she grew up and built a life rooted in faith, family, and love.
Marianne was a devoted Catholic whose faith in God guided her throughout her life. She trusted deeply that God had a plan for her and lived each day with gratitude for the time she was given. Her faith was not only something she believed in, but something she lived-through prayer, perseverance, love for others, and unwavering devotion to her family. She found comfort in knowing that this life was temporary and that eternal life awaited her in the presence of God.
Family was Marianne's greatest joy and proudest accomplishment. She cherished every moment spent with her loved ones and delighted in sharing updates about each family member's life. Whether celebrating milestones or offering comfort during difficult times, she was always present, always listening, and always loving.
Marianne found happiness in the simple pleasures of life. She loved music, especially Boyz II Men, Intocable, Van Morrison, Tupac, and Pitbull. She enjoyed cooking meals for her family, thrifting, and collecting purses and jewelry. She treasured long conversations with friends, was known for her wisdom and advice, and had a way of making people feel heard and cared for. Her home and her heart were always open.
She was preceded in death by her cousin and best friend, Rosie Davila, whose bond with Marianne was deep and unbreakable.
Marianne is survived by her loving husband, Robert Contreras; her children, James and Monique McFaline, and Carl and Lacy Smith; and her beloved grandchildren, Jacob Smith, Hayley Dombrowski, Kaylie Smith, Matheu Burris, Jaiden Smith, Nickoli Smith, Graysen Smith, Mia McFaline, Layla McFaline, James McFaline Jr., and Liliana McFaline, each of whom brought immense joy to her life.
Marianne will be remembered for her strong faith, gentle spirit, generous heart, and unconditional love. While she will be deeply missed by all who knew her, her family finds peace in knowing she now rests in eternal life with our Lord, reunited with loved ones who have gone before her.
A time of Visitation will be held from 1:30 to 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 10, 2026 in the Chapel of Ramsey Funeral Home.
The funeral service will begin at 3:00 p.m.
Mrs. Contreras will be laid to rest following the service at Georgetown Memorial Cemetery.
