Marianne Heimermann, age 80, of the Fox Valley, passed away peacefully on August 11, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.
Marianne "Mitch" Heimermann was born on March 10, 1945, in
Appleton, Wisconsin, to Frank and Anna Mae (Steers) Hubers. She grew up in Kimberly and graduated with the Class of 1962 from Kimberly High School. She later earned a degree in interior design.
On February 10, 1964, she was united in marriage to Dennis J. Heimermann at Holy Name Catholic Church in Kimberly, Wisconsin. The couple made their home in Appleton, raising two children and building a life filled with love, laughter, and faith for many years before later settling in Clintonville.
Marianne served as the Director of the Fox Cities Epilepsy Center for several years before working as an executive secretary for Miller Electric and Zaugs and a legal secretary for various organizations throughout the Fox Valley, where she was known for her dedication, kindness, and sense of humor. After retiring to Clintonville, she became a beloved school bus driver and the proud owner of Pigeon River Antiques that she ran with the love of her life for 11 years.
Throughout her life, Marianne found joy in music, the beauty of nature, and camping and rummaging adventures with her family. She was deeply involved in her community, generously giving her time and talents through volunteer work. A passionate animal lover, she opened her heart and home to many rescued dogs, most recently Zeus, Maya and Gizmo. She cherished time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren, often attending there Activities or events support them in any way she could.
Marianne will be deeply missed by her daughter, Shannon Skar; her grandchildren, Andrew and Justin (Amber) Miller, Rory and Miranda Follmann, and Blaine (Bella) Skar and Willow (Chevy) Skar; her great-granddaughters, Sophia Miller and Ava Dellemann; her brothers, Ray (Mary) Hubers, Steve (Tina) Hubers, and Cletus (Joan) Hubers. She is also survived by her in-laws, Joyce (Ray) Lake and John Weyers. 3 God daughters Wendy, Amy, and Sarah and too many nieces and nephews to list.
She was preceded in death by her husband Dennis Heimermann, daughter, Nicole Stoll; her parents; grandparents; and in-laws Rita(Peter) Mueller. Brothers: Donald, Peter, Florian, Leroy, Eugene, Jerry and Jim and their spouses. Sisters: Ceil, Therese, Mary Jane, and spouses and Doris.
A service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 17, 2025, at Valley Funeral Home, 2211 N. Richmond St.,
Appleton, Wisconsin. Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. until the time of the service. Burial will follow at a later date at Sacred Heart Cemetery(Sherwood) The family would like to thank the staff on second floor at Bethany Home in Waupaca and ThedaCare Hospice for their compassionate care.
