Marianne Miller, born in March 1943 in Manhattan, New York, passed away peacefully on November 24, 2025, surrounded by the love she spent her life giving so freely. For the past 35 years, Marianne made her home in Monticello, Florida with the love of her life and devoted husband of 61 years, John Miller. Their life together was marked by partnership, laughter, and an unwavering commitment to family. Marianne was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Mary Arlington, her brothers, Charles and Robert, beloved nephews, Brian and Brendon. She is survived by her loving husband, John Miller, beloved daughters, Mary Kate Meyers (Christian) and Susan Roys (Billy), her cherished granddaughter, Lindsey Rebozo (Brandon), her loved nephew, Charles 'Davie' Arlington (Cindy) and her beloved cousin, Maryann Gokey, who was more like a sister, along with many other treasured family and friends. She also leaves behind her sweet rescue dog, Stewie, and her stray kitty Thomas - her loyal companions.
A woman who never knew a stranger, Marianne was a true collector of friends. She devoted her life to helping others, offering kindness, wisdom, and comfort to anyone in need. Her love of reading made her a treasured presence in every library she entered. She was a passionate advocate for Wolf Creek Pet Adoption Center.
Marianne was loved by many and will be missed tremendously. Her greatest accomplishment - one she wore with pride and tenderness - was her family, whom she adored beyond measure.
Her legacy of compassion, friendship and unwavering love will live on in the countless lives she touched.
A funeral mass will be held on Friday, December 12th, at 10 am, at St. Margaret's Catholic Church, 1565 E. Washington Street, Monticello, FL 32344, followed by a lunch reception. At 1 pm, she will be laid to rest at the Tallahassee National Cemetery, 5015 Apalachee Parkway, Tallahassee, FL 32311. All are welcome to join.
In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that donations be made in her honor to one of the following:
