Marianne VanRoosendaal

Marianne Stillman VanRoosendaal, age 85, of Manila , Utah, passed away peacefully on January 8, 2026, at Abbington Assisted Living Center in Murray, UT, surrounded by loved ones.

Marianne was born June 4th, 1940, in Oakley, UT. She was the daughter of the late Lyle Saxton Stillman and Mary Ruth Shelton Stillman. She graduated from Olympus High School in 1958 and went on to become a Pharmacy Technician Assistant.

Marianne married Eugene Cornelius VanRoosendaal in 1961. They were sealed in the Salt Lake City Temple in 2000. Together they had four beautiful children. She was most proud of being a mother.

Marianne was a devoted wife and mother. She was known for her kindness, generosity, sense of humor, the delicious homemade meals she made for friends and family, and her dedication to her family. She especially enjoyed being on the boat on the Flaming Gorge Reservoir, traveling in the motor home with her husband, watching the birds, watering her flowers, and spending time with loved ones any chance she had.

Marianne is survived by her children Teresa (Frankie) Sanchez, Gene VanRoosendaal, and Kodie (Paul) Gill; grandchildren Brittney, Brandy, Brook, Karlee, Meghan, Erin, Jacob, Trevor, Zach, her great grandchildren, and her dearest sister Sharon Phillips.

She was preceded in death by her husband Eugene Cornelius VanRoosendaal, her son Mark Cornelius VanRoosendaal, her grandson Michael VanRoosendaal, her brother Clyde Stillman, and her sister Tracee Starr.

At her request a graveside service will be held at 1:00 on January 16th at the Manila Cemetery in Manila, UT.

Marianne's legacy of love, integrity, and generosity will endure through the many lives that she touched. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
