Marie J. Azzarelli (lannone), 98, died after a short illness on January 23, 2024 at Tampa Lake Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was born on July 31,1925 in New York City, the daughter of the late Henry lannone and Anna lannone (Clago). Marie attended school in New York City and married Charles Azzarelli in 1943. She devoted herself to her late husband and children. Marie also lived in New Jersey and eventually moved to Florida in 2011. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brothers; Nicholas lannone, George lannone and sister, Celia Giorlando. Marie will be deeply missed by her children; John Azzarelli and wife Laurie of New York City, Richard Azzarelli of Largo, Florida, Jane Dobres and husband Steven of Lutz, Florida; four grandchildren; Kim Azzarelli (Mattia), Allyson Azzarelli, Joseph Azzarelli (Leslie), Kara Sherin (Kyle); three great grandchildren; Dominick, Kenzie and Karson. Charles and Marie will be reunited at The Gate of Heaven Catholic Cemetery on Wednesday, January 31, 2024. A mass and celebration of her life will take place in early March in Tampa, Florida. In lieu of flowers: prayers, mass cards and other liturgical remembrances would be appreciated.
