Marie Dolores Brester, 93, of Kensington, widow of Allen J. Brester, passed away on Saturday, Sept. 20, 2025.
Born in Wallington, NJ, she was the daughter of the late George and Theresa (Masuhr) Unglaub. Marie was a long time Kensington resident and was formerly employed at The Hartford before retiring. She was a member of St. Paul Church.
Surviving are a daughter, Karen Marques and her husband, Victor, of Cromwell; a son, Mark Brester and his wife, Donna, of Kensington; three grandchildren, John Brester and his wife, Jennifer, Kaylin Marques and Kerry Marques; and two great-grandchildren, John James Brester and Jade Brester. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by a son, Carl Brester, and a brother, Paul Unglaub.
Calling hours are Monday, Sept. 29, 2025, from 9-11 AM at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home of Berlin, 111 Chamberlain Hwy., Berlin. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, Sept. 29, 2025, at 11:30 AM at St. Paul Church. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Memorial Park, Rocky Hill. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 200 Executive Blvd., Suite 4B, Southington, CT 06489-1058.
