Marie Dangott, 88, of
Ronceverte, WV, passed away on November 28, 2025.
Marie was born March 24, 1937 to the late Abe and Violet Boardman of Charleston, WV, she is also preceded in death by husband Howard Racey and her younger brother Frank Boardman.
Marie was known for her compassionate nature and dedication as an LPN nurse in NC, where she touched countless lives through her care. She began her community service as a driver for the local community transport bus before later becoming a school bus driver for Greenbrier East High School. In that capacity, she not only transported students but also accompanied them on various sports trips, fostering a spirit of camaraderie among the girls.
Her greatest pride and joy came from her family. She is survived by her five beloved children: Daniel Dangott (Connie) of Summerfield, NC; Connie Tincher of OBX, NC; Wilma Dangott (Don) of
Ronceverte, WV; Richard Dangott (Rhonda) of Charleston, WV; and Doug Spry of Charleston, WV. Marie is also survived by her six adoring grandchildren: Ashley Tincher of Charleston, WV; Weslea Dangott of Brevard, NC; Richard Dangott of Charleston, WV; Halea Dangott of
Ronceverte, WV; Dr. Sydney Dangott Hess (Mason) of Charleston, WV; and Reanna Dangott of Summerfield, NC. Additionally, she had four precious great-grandchildren-Lilee, Nathaniel, Rylee, and Willow Dangott-who all held a special place in her heart. She leaves behind many cherished nieces and nephews with whom she shared countless loving memories.
Marie is also survived by her sisters, Becky Stock (Darrel) of Manteo, NC, and Neva Taylor of Randleman, NC, as well as her blessed friend, Ann Bennett of Alderson, WV. Marie cherished every moment spent with her family, from sharing stories and laughter to creating lasting memories that they will forever treasure.
Visitation will be held from 5 PM – 6PM, followed by the service at 6:00 PM on December 3, 2025, at Wallace and Wallace Funeral Home in
Ronceverte, WV.
