I just found out this news. Marie and I had reconnected after our retirements. Marie and Linda showed great kindness to me as a teenager. My condolences to the family. I will miss her compassion and wisdom.

I feel like the wind was just taken out of my sails. Wondering why Marie had not answered my messages. I just came across this as I was preparing for our 50th HS reunion and wondered why I hadn't heard from her. Marie my 1st grade friend on through. So many stories I have shared if our adventures over the years. Fond memories of Chuck, her family and our youth. I am so so sorry. Sending all the family hugs. The elephants of her Dad's she sent me even now gave a more treasured place in my collection. God bless.

Sorry for your loss. Marie was a helpful friendly face whenever we needed some administrative advice when she was working from downtown campus. I remember her helping me apply for a small grant for a laptop to help me with my job down there. She was always pleasant to be around and that meant a lot.

My heartfelt condolences to your family. I will always remember that no matter what the circumstances Marie always had a smile and looked for the positive. Our paths at MCC crossed now and again and it was always a pleasure to work with her.

Shirley and I were shopping on a cold but sunny Saturday (yesterday) when Rene called Shirley on her cell phone and we were stunned to hear about the passing of Marie. It has been a long time since we have seen any members of the Rochester branch of the family and it was surprising to hear that any of our family would no longer be there if we do find time to get together.
I have long felt that Marie most closely of any of us reminded me of our grandmother. Since I believe that I am the oldest of our generation, I find it difficult to believe that I might outlive any of my cousins. Please accept my and Shirley's prayers for Marie and all of you, our family. If there is ever anything we can do for you or help with, please let us know.
Love, Lou and Shirley.

It is with heavy hearts that we share in the sadness of the sudden passing of our cousin Marie. Our minds are flooded with memories of our times together.
Marie was an accomplished and intelligent woman whose care and love she generously shared with everyone. Her smile and sense of humor was a joy. It is almost impossible to fathom that she is no longer with us.
To Chuck and our wonderful family, Uncle Lou, Linda, Lou II, and the spouses, children, and grandchildren, we share in your heartache and sorrow and pray you sustain the strength to bear this unimaginable tragedy. We pray for comfort and consolation as you move forward, carrying this great burden of pain and grief.
Please know that we are here for you. We offer solace and support as we keep Marie close in our thoughts and prayers.
All our love,
Patti, Bobbi, Mary, "DeGrazia" and families.

My heartfelt grief to you Chuck and your beautiful family. You are all remembered fondly as kind and considerate, hard working but always able to balance time with friends.
MCC owes a great deal of gratitude to Marie. She was instrumental in establishing the fiscal soundness of the Foundation, in envisioning the Educational Technology Services division, in cultivating MCC's asynchronous learning program and Online College, and bringing stability to the youthful Damon CIty Campus. Marie's management and budgeting acumen were legendary, as she was one of only of two people who submitted budgets that were seldom if ever questioned by our Finance Officers. Anyone who worked with Marie was thankful for her advice and guidance. Jeff Bartkovich

Chuck and family, I am so very sorry to hear about your loss of Marie. I loved and respected her very much, and was grateful social media (Facebook) brought us back in touch over the past decade. Dr. Spina was kind enough to tell me of her passing, and it simply breaks my heart. Know I'm sending my prayers to all of you, husband, father, family and friends. As to memories, I do remember her intellectual brilliance, love of her family and animals and the great time we all had in the middle of winter in your outside hot tub. I also often think of what a wonderful times Marie, Linda Burger and I had going out to lunch while working together at MCC and always taking a handful of fortune cookies on the way out until we got the right message. May she be at peace.
