Marie Elizabeth Fisher

Marie Elizabeth Fisher, 89, of Owings passed away November 19, 2025. She was born January 24, 1936 in Syracuse, NY to Vincent and Julie Commoso. Marie married William "Gene" Fisher when she was 18 years old and shortly after they moved to California where Gene was stationed. They moved to Maryland before deployments took them overseas to France and England, before moving back to Maryland and settling in Forestville. Marie worked for Prince George's County Public Schools for 27 years before retiring to take care of her husband. She was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church and in her spare time she enjoyed going to the American Legion and playing slot machines, watching football, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Marie was preceded in death by her husband William "Gene" Fisher. She is survived by her children Julia Skillicorn, Michael Fisher, Carol Schultes, and William "Jim" Fisher, grandchildren Holly, Alex, Jackie, Jacob, and Gabriel, and great-grandchild CJ.
