Marie Goff

Mrs. Marie Adelle (Herrington) Goff, age 70, of Robinson, Illinois, passed away at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 30, 2025, at Crawford Memorial Hospital in Robinson, following a recent hospitalization for respiratory issues.
Marie was born on November 14, 1954, in St. Paul, Minnesota, to James Herrington and Elizabeth "Betty" (Libby) Herrington. In 1972, she attended culinary arts school in St. Paul, reflecting a lifelong love of cooking and hospitality. On July 6, 1976, she married the love of her life, Michael L. "Mike" Goff, who survives.
Over the years, Marie worked as a property manager for various companies in Lake Alfred, Florida, where her work ethic and kindness left a lasting impact on those she served. In 2011, she and Mike returned to Robinson, Illinois, where she took on the role of caregiver for her father-in-law, Lloyd Goff-a role she embraced with compassion and dedication.
Marie is survived by her husband of nearly 49 years, Mike Goff of Robinson, Illinois; her son, Michael L. Goff II of Terre Haute, Indiana; her daughter, Heather R. Goff and partner Chad Rice of Willow Hill, Illinois; four beloved grandchildren: Brandon Goff of Lawrenceville, Illinois, Braydon Goff of Robinson, Illinois, Brianna Carter of Winslow, Indiana, and Brandy (Ron) Williams of Alabama.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Betty Herrington; her brother, Russell Herrington; and her sister, Melissa Herrington.
In accordance with Marie's wishes, cremation has been chosen. A private interment of cremated remains will be held at Oak Grove Cemetery in Palestine, Illinois.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Crawford County Humane Society, 911 E. Wilkin Street, Robinson, IL with envelopes available at the Pulliam Funeral Home in Robinson.
