Marie Y Laramore

Marie Y. Laramore, 68, passed away peacefully on October 19, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Born on August 1, 1957, in Martin, Kentucky, Marie was the youngest of six children born to William and Renda Slone.
Marie dedicated her life to caring for others, working as a nurse for 43 years. Her compassion, dedication, and gentle spirit touched countless lives throughout her career.
She is survived by her devoted husband, Rodger D. Laramore; her daughters, Brittany Spears and Brandy Williamson; her cherished grandson, Jack; her sister, Jane Betts; her brother, John Slone; and her beloved aunts, Lottie Hall and Brenda Owens. She is also remembered fondly by her ten nieces and nephews and a large extended family who loved her dearly.
Marie was preceded in death by her parents, William and Renda Slone; her brother, Billy Slone; and her sisters, Frieda and Marcella Slone.
Marie was known for her strong will and stubborn streak, qualities that made her determined, resilient, and fiercely loyal to those she loved. She faced every challenge with courage and a touch of humor, and she never hesitated to stand up for what she believed in. Marie found her greatest joy in spending time with her family, especially her grandson, and in taking trips with her sisters. Her warmth, laughter, and love will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in her memory to Halifax Hospice of Ormond Beach, whose care and compassion provided great comfort in her final days.

A celebration of Marie's life will be held at a later date, where family and friends will gather to honor her memory and the love she shared so freely.
