MARLBOROUGH – Marie (Caradonna) Larson, age 96, of Marlborough, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, September 27, 2025.

She was born in Framingham, MA in 1928, a daughter of the late Peter Caradonna, and Etta (Sherbert) Caradonna.

Marie graduated from Framingham high school and went onto two years of Secretarial school. She relocated to Washington D.C. at the age of 22 to start an exciting job at the Pentagon from July of 1950 to September of 1959. She had many titles as she progressed professionally. She started off as a stenographer, to an editorial clerk, to an information and research specialist and her last position as a program assistant all within the Logistic Programs Office at the Bureau of Aeronautics, Department of the Navy. It was during this time where she met her husband, John at a ""military"" social since John served in the Air Force and they married in October of 1952 in Framingham, MA. In 1959 they decided to move back to New England to be close to Marie's family.

Marie was an extremely dedicated wife and mother and was her husband's ever faithful partner not only in marriage, but in her husband's C.P.A. business as well. Marie worked tirelessly up until the closing of John's business in 2006.

Marie's hobbies included, knitting, gardening, cooking, watching daily mass, and reading Nicholas Sparks books, which she happily shared with her granddaughter Kristen. She loved her summer vacations at Goose Rocks Beach in Kennebunkport, Maine. She also loved bragging about her grandchildren Kristen and Michael whom she was so beyond proud of their accomplishments.

Marie was preceded in death by her loving husband of 54 years John M. Larson and her son John M. Larson Jr. (Jack). She was also preceded in death by her sister, Susan (Caradonna) Zanchi, and her brother Victor Caradonna.

Marie is survived by her loving daughter Lynne (Larson) Ferlisi and her husband Peter and her cherished grandchildren, Kristen and Michael Ferlisi. She also leaves behind her sister, Eleanor (Caradonna) MacGregor, with whom she had a very special bond, her brother Peter Caradonna, and her sister Janet (Caradonna) Cocuzzo, both whom meant so much to her. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews who will fondly remember her for her famous Thanksgiving dinners.

A memorial mass celebrating Marie's wonderful life will be held on November 1, 2025, at 11:00 AM at The Missionary Shrine of Our Lady of Fatima, 101 Summer Dr, Holliston, MA. We invite all who knew and loved Marie to join us in honoring her memory. Arrangements are entrusted to the Sperry-McHoul-Pichi Funeral Home, North Attleboro, MA.
