YADKINVILLE - Mrs. Marie Wolfe Lynch, 84, passed away peacefully Monday, April 22, 2024 at Forsyth Medical Center. She was born February 13, 1940 in Yadkin County to the late Henry M. and Ruby Vestal Wolfe. Mrs. Lynch graduated from Davis Hospital School of Nursing in Statesville and worked as a Registered Nurse for over 40 years. She started her career at Hoots Memorial Hospital, taught nursing aid to students, and then worked with Yadkin Valley Home Health and Hospice until retiring. After retirement she continued in service to others by volunteering with Hoots Memorial Hospital and Mountain Valley Hospice. She truly lived with a servant’s heart helping others throughout her life. Mrs. Lynch was an active member of Pilot View Friends Church for more than 58 years, and was a member of the Yadkin Chapter #233 Order of the Eastern Star. She loved her family and was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend to many in the community. She was known for her giving spirit and loving to give hugs to everyone. Surviving are her beloved husband of 60 years, Wayne Lynch; daughter, Allison Prim and husband, David; son, Marcus Lynch and wife, Brandi; granddaughters, Courtney Prim, Cathryn Prim, Sarah Lynch; a brother David Wolfe and wife, Reginia; and nieces, Wendi Wolfe, Wanda Bingaman, Erin Kurland and step-niece, Candice Dimmette. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Thursday at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville. Her funeral service will be 3:00 PM Friday at Pilot View Friends Church by Rev. Josh Williams and Rev. Nelson Puffenbarger. She will lie in-state 30 minutes prior to the service. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to either SECU Hospice Home of Yadkin, Ronald McDonald House, Winston-Salem Rescue Mission, St. Jude Childrens Hospital, or to the donor’s Choice.
