MAZZA, Marie "Jeanne". August 29, 2025. Age 95. Beloved wife of the late Samuel for 62 years before his passing in 2014. Loving mother of Thomas Mazza (Debra), Stephen Mazza (Megan), Leonard Mazza (Susan), and Laura Faw (Clayton). Proud and loving grandmother of Nicole (Anthony), Adam (Leah), Marissa (Spencer), Aaron (Lauren), Cory (Lauren), Samantha, and Mikayla and great-grandmother of Luca, Anthony, Everett, Deacon, John, and Andrew. Dear sister of the late Raymond Duck (the late Patricia). Marie was a graduate of Eastern High School and Wayne State University; she worked as a 1st grade school teacher for Detroit Public Schools until she retired to raise her children in 1964. Jeanne had a strong faith and was an active member at St. Sylvester Catholic Church in Warren for many years until its closing. During her time there she chaired the religious education program with her close friends Rosary and Eleanor and enjoyed teaching to pass on her faith. She also enjoyed cross stitching, doing crossword puzzles, reading, and walking. Visitation Tuesday 3-8pm with a 7pm Scripture service at Wujek-Calcaterra & Sons, Inc., 36900 Schoenherr at Metro Parkway (16 Mile), Sterling Heights. Instate Wednesday 10:30am until time of 11am Mass at St. Michael Catholic Church, 40501 Hayes (N. of 17 Mile Rd.), Sterling Heights. Entombment, Resurrection Cemetery, Clinton Township.
